1. App and developer
Voice Typing AI is a floating voice-input assistant from SILKYKOREA. It transcribes speech, translates input, and edits your latest generated result using spoken instructions. Its desktop widget provides notes, translation, voice/text Q&A, and picture Q&A. Contact: silkykorea@gmail.com.
2. Audio, text, pictures, and Google Gemini
AI requests go through a proxy operated by the developer (Google Firebase Cloud Functions). You do not need your own Gemini API key, and the app never asks for one. When you actively submit an AI request, the app sends the recording or typed text, the photo you selected or captured for that request, any previous generated result or recent conversation messages needed for context, and processing instructions to the developer proxy. The proxy forwards the request to Google's Gemini API using the developer's credentials. The four widget AI functions use Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite and return text only: they do not play generated speech, run a continuous audio call, or listen for a wake word. Notes you type and save remain local unless you actively submit their content for AI processing. The app does not automatically upload your notepad or photo library. Your Google account identifies your app access, but your personal Gemini account is not used or charged for these requests. The developer proxy processes submitted content to serve the request; it does not intentionally save the submitted audio, images, questions, conversation text, or generated replies in its account/usage database. Request and usage metadata are described below. Google's retention and service-improvement terms apply to the developer's account and region. This app does not promise zero retention or exclusion from training by Google. See https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/terms and https://policies.google.com/privacy.
3. Account verification, usage, and purchases
After your consent, Google sign-in and Firebase Authentication process your Google account identifier and email address. The backend uses the account identifier, trial and subscription status, first-use/check times, and usage counts to verify access and help prevent abuse. Clearing local app storage or reinstalling does not reset the same account's server-side trial record. App Check helps verify requests; no system can guarantee that all abuse is prevented. For duplicate-request protection, per-account cloud records may also keep up to 512 recent request identifiers (UUIDs), SHA-256 request fingerprints, and server timestamps. Duplicate detection uses a 72-hour window. Older metadata is removed when a later request performs cleanup; deletion exactly 72 hours later is not guaranteed. These metadata records are separate from the submitted recording, picture, or question text. Google Play processes subscription purchases. The app checks purchase state and keeps an entitlement cache. Paid usage depends on the entitlement recognized by the developer backend. The app does not receive your payment-card details. Subscription price, billing period, and any eligible offer are shown from Google Play before purchase.
4. Local storage and clipboard
The app keeps settings, the latest generated result, and a preview draft in private storage for editing and recovery. Widget notes and conversation text are stored locally and separated by the signed-in account. Changing accounts does not give the new account access to another account's widget notes or history. Recording files use temporary app storage; interrupted sessions may leave temporary cache files. Pictures prepared for widget questions are kept in app-private files for the signed-in account so they can be reused when you reopen that picture conversation. They remain until you replace or remove the picture, clear that picture conversation, delete your app account, clear app storage, or uninstall the app. Local diagnostics may contain technical errors and session metadata and are not automatically uploaded. Floating-input final results replace the system clipboard for pasting, including final preview revisions. Widget answers are copied to the clipboard only when you choose Copy. Android, your keyboard, or other apps may show or access clipboard content according to their permissions.
5. Optional accessibility service
With separate consent and system permission, the app accesses focused-field and window information to identify an editable destination and keyboard visibility, show floating controls, and perform a user-requested paste or replacement of its own previous result in the same verified field. If normal pasting fails after you tap the preview, the service temporarily reads the current field's existing text on this device to preserve that text during insertion. This copy of existing text is not saved by the app or sent to cloud services. Fields identified by Android as password fields are excluded. The service does not take screenshots or perform gestures. Accessibility information stays on the device and is not sent to Gemini or Firebase. You can decline this access and paste manually.
6. Permissions and controls
Microphone access is used for recording you actively start. You can start and stop widget recordings with the home-screen widget button. A recording you start can continue on the home screen through the same foreground service and its status notification; you do not have to keep a widget page open. Picture questions use only a photo you choose through the system picker or take through the system camera; the app does not scan your photo library in the background. Display-over-other-apps permission shows floating input and preview controls. A single foreground-service notification describes floating-input or widget-recording activity and offers stop/close controls; visibility depends on your Android notification settings. You can revoke permissions in Android settings and withdraw data consent in the app. Withdrawal stops floating input and background trial checks and blocks new widget AI requests; it does not delete previously processed data.
7. Retention and deletion
Local settings and results remain until replaced, you clear app storage, or uninstall the app. You can edit/delete widget notes and clear individual widget conversations. Clearing app storage removes local settings, notes, histories, cached files, and diagnostics. Clipboard data follows Android's clipboard lifecycle and can be overwritten or cleared separately. You can request account deletion in app settings. Account deletion removes the app's cloud user record and that account's widget notes, conversation history, and saved pictures stored on this device. Uninstalling alone does not automatically delete cloud account or usage records. Contact silkykorea@gmail.com for access or deletion requests and identity-verification instructions. Do not email an API key or sensitive input. Google independently controls retention of Gemini and Play data under its policies and account controls; deleting an app account does not guarantee deletion of Google's independently retained records or cancel a Google Play subscription.
8. Security, feedback, and children
Network requests use encrypted HTTPS connections; the developer's API credential is not stored on your device. No system can guarantee absolute security. Feedback sent by email includes only what you choose to send; recordings, pictures, and results are not attached automatically. The app is not designed for children. Review AI output for errors before using or sending it.
